The demonstration in Paris on 2 November (AFP) 3 November 2005 -- Thousands of people have demonstrated in front of the Iranian Embassy in the French capital Paris in protest against a statement by the Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad that Israel should be wiped off the map.
The demonstration was organized by Jewish groups and anti-racism organizations.
Meanwhile, Tehran has summoned Italy's ambassador to protest at plans by Italian political parties to stage a demonstration outside the Iranian embassy in Rome on 4 November.
