Blast Wounds Four Coalition Soldiers In Afghanistan

Mines found at Kandahar airport (file photo) (CTK) 12 Decemeber 2005 -- The U.S. military says a roadside bomb hit a vehicle of U.S.-led coalition troops in southern Afghanistan today. Four soldiers were wounded.

However, the U.S. army refused to reveal their nationalities or give the exact location of the incident.

A man claiming to be a Taliban spokesman told AFP the group had detonated the bomb in Spin Boldak, a town in the Kandahar province, which lies near Afghanistan’s border with Pakistan.

The attack came one day after a suicide bomber blew himself up near a convoy of U.S.-led troops in the city of Kandahar, wounding three passers-by.
