Deputy Health Minister Ziyovuddin Afghonov said the government has estimated that it needs about $13.5 million to prevent bird flu from spreading to Tajikistan. He said proposals on the matter have been drafted and sent to international organizations, asking for help.
Afghanov said that bird flu has not been detected in the Central Asian country.
