ISAF said in a statement three bunkers of weapons were surrendered in the northern city of Sheberghan.

The statement said initial findings suggest some 80 tons of dynamite, 15,000 antipersonnel mines, and 10,000 antitank mines were recovered.

Correspondents say Afghanistan is awash with illegal weapons after 25 years of war.
