Thirteen people were reported killed in a strike by U.S. forces in the city of Al-Ramadi. The U.S. military confirmed that a strike had taken place, but denied reports that there were civilian casualties.
Earlier, a suicide bomber blew himself up outside a Baghdad courthouse, killing at least nine people and wounding about 50.
A roadside bomb hit a bus carrying Iraqi civilians in the Al-Hamza region, southeast of Baghdad, killing four people.
And in two other incidents, two U.S. soldiers and two Iraqi police officers were killed in separate bomb blasts.
