Clinton Says U.S. Should Talk To Iran


Former U.S. President Bill Clinton (file photo) (epa) September 11, 2006 -- Former U.S. President Bill Clinton says the United States should try talking to Iran about Tehran's nuclear program without imposing a large number of conditions.


Clinton told the U.S. television network NBC that there needs to be the maximum amount of contact with Tehran to avoid any confrontation.


The United States has said it suspects Iran is trying to develop nuclear weapons, a charge that Iran denies.
