Iraqi Vice President Calls On U.S. To Set Withdrawal Timetable


Al-Hashimi (left) with Bush in Washington on December 12 (epa) December 14, 2006 -- Iraqi Vice President Tariq al-Hashimi has called on the Bush administration to set a timetable for withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq.


At a news conference in Washington on December 14, al-Hashimi, a Sunni leader who met with U.S. President George W. Bush and other U.S. officials earlier this week, said the timetable should be "flexible" and depend on the development of a capable Iraqi security force.
