Laghman Province Governor Mohammad Gulab Mangal told RFE/RL six intelligence officials from neighboring Nangarhar Province were killed by a remote-controlled bomb as they traveled in Laghman.
A similar roadside bomb today killed two Afghan police in the southern province of Zabul.
The attacks come a day after at least 11 Afghans, including four Afghan security agents, were killed by three separate bomb blasts.
Also on April 22, Taliban fighters abducted and beheaded an Afghan intelligence officer in Ghazni Province to the southwest of Kabul.
