Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan To Set Up Joint Investment Fund


Atambaev (right) meeting with Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiev today (official site) BISHKEK, July 11, 2007 (RFE/RL) -- Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan have agreed to set up a $120-million investment fund to implement joint economic projects.


The Kyrgyz and Kazakh prime ministers, Almaz Atambaev and Karim Masimov, signed an agreement to that effect in Bishkek today.


Masimov said Kazakhstan would initially contribute $100 million to the Kyrgyz-Kazakh Investment Fund and Kyrgyzstan $20 million.
