Mansur Osanlu's wife told Radio Farda today that prison officials told her that her husband is not allowed to make phone calls or meet his family.

Osanlu, the head of the greater Tehran bus drivers' union, was pulled from a bus in Tehran on July 10 by unidentified men who reportedly beat him before driving him away in a car.

Osanlu has been jailed several times for organizing protests.
