U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says any reconciliation between the Afghan government and Taliban must not reverse the rights of women.

Clinton met in Washington with a visiting delegation of Afghan female ministers, including Amina Afzali, the minister of labor, social affairs, martyrs, and the disabled, as well as Suraya Dalil, the minister of health.

Clinton promised aid for female education, maternal and other health services, protection of women from violence, and for enhancing their roles in agriculture and the economy.
