EU Police In Kosovo Attacked Near Serbian Border

European Union police in Kosovo were fired upon early today in a northern area of the country near the border with Serbia.

Attackers fired shots at a vehicle and fired an explosive device at an EU police vehicle, damaging the car but causing no casualties among the policemen.

Northern Kosovo is mainly populated by ethnic Serbs, many of whom do not recognize the Kosovo government.
