A new report estimates the damage to property, crops, and infrastructure inflicted by Pakistan's recent floods to be $9.5 billion.

Pakistani Finance Ministry officials, citing an assessment by the Asian Development Bank and World Bank, said the government may face total recovery costs of $30 billion.

Pakistani authorities, eager to secure as much international aid as possible, had previously estimated total recovery costs at $43 billion.
