Officials say a tribal jirga in Pakistan's Swat Valley recently evicted around 25 families of suspected insurgents from their homes.

The elders had given local militants until May 20 to surrender, or their families -- a group of about 125 people -- would be driven from their homes.

The evicitions reportedly took place on May 21.

The families have been relocated to a former Afghan refugee camp.

After last year's government offensive against militants in the Swat Valley, officials said many insurgents blended in with civilians and continue to live in the area.
