RFE/RL Interview: Armenian President Sees Progress Toward 'Real Democratic State'

President Armen Sarkisian took office in early April, shortly before a wave of mass protests forced the prime minister to resign. In an interview with RFE/RL Armenian Service Director Harry Tamrazian on April 26, Sarkisian said that Armenia is involved in a democratic process that could lead to new elections and legislative changes. He also dismissed speculation about foreign influence in this month's events.
