Bombings At Baghdad Markets Kill At Least 18

Bombings at busy markets across the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, have killed at least 22 people, including women and children, and wounded dozens.

The deadliest attack took place in the Saba al-Bur area, north of Baghdad, where at least 11 people were killed.

Meanwhile, a bomb hidden behind a kiosk exploded at a market in the city's Dora neighborhood, killing at least seven people.

Iraq is witnessing its worst violence since 2008, when the country was just emerging from a brutal sectarian conflict.

Nearly 700 people have been killed this month alone and more than 4,500 have lost their lives since the beginning of the year.
