The armed forces of Belarus have begun a "comprehensive" checkup of combat readiness, the Defense Ministry said in a statement on March 11 on Telegram. Authoritarian ruler Alyaksandr Lukashenka has been supportive of Russia's war in Ukraine and allowed its territory, military infrastructure, and airspace to be used for the February 2022 invasion and for launching attacks against Ukraine. "️The inspection is comprehensive," the statement said, adding that the series of exercises and training will include live fire and the movement of military equipment that could temporarily restrict civilian movement on public roads.
