Self-exiled Belarusian opposition members presented an alternative "new national passport" at a conference in Poland over the weekend. Valer Kavaleuski of the group, called the United Interim Cabinet of Belarus, told a conference in Warsaw on August 6 that talks with the European Union are under way to recognize the passport.
