TBILISI -- Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili is paying a working visit to Warsaw on December 4-5.
Georgia's presidential office said on December 4 that Margvelashvili will hold talks with his Polish counterpart, Bronislaw Komorowski and speaker of the lower house of the Polish parliament, Radoslaw Sikorski.
Margvelashvili is accompanied by Secretary of the National Security Council, Irine Imerlishvili, who will meet the head of the Polish National Security Bureau, Stanislaw Koziej.
They are expected to sign protocol on cooperation that will lead to regular consultations on defense and security as well as on issues related to Georgia’s EU and NATO integration.
Margvelashvili will attend annual International Caucasian Session hosted by the Center for East European Studies of the University of Warsaw.
It is Margvelashvili’s second visit to Poland, a strong supporter of Georgian integration with NATO and the EU, in eight months.
