Iran says it has arrested spies with links to Israel's Mossad intelligence service who were behind the murder of an Iranian nuclear scientist a year ago.
State media carried a statement issued by the intelligence ministry which said that "the network of spies and terrorists" were responsible for the bomb attack that killed Masud Ali-Mohammadi, a professor of nuclear physics at Tehran University, in January 2010.
There were no other details.
In November, two other nuclear scientists were killed in separate incidents. Days later, Iran said it had arrested a number of suspects with alleged links to British, U.S., and Israeli intelligence.
Iran says the assassinations were part of a plot to sabotage its nuclear program, which it says it entirely peaceful.
Western governments suspect Iran is secretly seeking to develop the capacity to produce nuclear weapons.
