Iran's International Atomic Energy Agency ambassador Ali Asghar Soltanieh says talks with the UN nuclear watchdog will restart next month.
The UN's nuclear watchdog has confirmed plans to resume talks with Iran in mid-May, more than two months after their last meeting ended in failure.

Gill Tudor, spokeswoman for the International Atomic Energy Agency, said the meeting would take place on May 14 and May 15 in Vienna.

Iranian ambassador Ali Asghar Soltanieh was quoted earlier by Iran's official IRNA news agency as saying the talks would be May 13 and May 14 in Vienna.

Iran also has restarted negotiations with six world powers over its controversial nuclear program.

Envoys in those talks have agreed to meet again in Baghdad on May 23.

On April 23, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said he was optimistic about the Baghdad talks.

Iran denies Western allegations that it is trying to build nuclear weapons.
