The head of Iran’s foreign policy committee says Iran does not want Turkey to host talks with world powers over Tehran's nuclear program.
Alaeddin Boroujerdi said that Iranian officials are "not interested in Turkey as the host."
Boroujerdi supported Baghdad as a venue.
He made the remarks after U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton urged Iran to commit to nuclear negotiations as soon as possible.
Clinton said Iran must get serious about proving that its nuclear program isn't hiding weapons development activities or else face further isolation and economic sanctions.
Earlier, Clinton said the talks would be April 13-14 in Turkey.
Russia and Iran both said the date and location of the talks have not been confirmed.
