A suicide bomber struck a packed education center in the Afghan capital on September 30, as students worked on a practice university entrance exam. A spokesman for the Taliban-appointed Kabul police chief said at least 19 people were initially killed, and there were warnings that the death toll could rise. The education center is located in a neighborhood populated by minority Shi'ite Muslims.
