Self-exiled Kazakh opposition activists Aidos and Natalya Sadykov, co-founders of the Base YouTube channel, which is critical of the government and investigates corruption, have been placed on Kazakhstan's wanted list. The Tengrinews.kz website said on October 24 that the Interior Ministry filed court documents on the matter stating the pair were wanted for "inciting social, national, or religious discord." The activists currently live in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv after fleeing Kazakhstan several years ago. The Base channel has just under 1 million subscribers, while its videos have accumulated a total of almost 500 million views since it was established in May 2014.
