Kazakh prosecutors say they have found what appears to be the bodies of two bankers who disappeared more than four years ago after a disagreement with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbaev's former son-in-law.
The prosecutor-general's office said the two bodies are believed to be those of Zholdas Timraliev and Aybar Khasenov, managers at Nurbank.
The bodies were discovered on May 13 in Almaty. A medical examination will be held to identify the bodies.
Timraliev and Khasenov were allegedly abducted in January 2007 from Nurbank's head office in Almaty.
Kazakhstan has sought to extradite from Austria Nazarbaev's former son-in-law, Rakhat Aliev, in connection with the alleged kidnapping.
