Moldova blocked access to more than 20 Russian media websites on October 24, saying that they had been used as part of an information war against the country. An Intelligence and Security Service decree listed 22 Russian news resources to be blocked, including prominent ones such as Russia Today and NTV. The decree said Internet providers in Moldova had been ordered to block the sites immediately. However, some of them still worked when checked by a Reuters reporter in Chisinau. There was no immediate comment from the Russian authorities.
