The health of Egypt's jailed former President Hosni Mubarak is reportedly continuing to deteriorate rapidly.
Officials at Cairo's Torah prison were quoted as saying an electric device was used at least once on June 11 to restart Mubarak's heart after it stopped beating.
Earlier, Mubarak, 84, was said to be slipping in and out of consciousness at a hospital inside the prison where he began serving a life sentence almost two weeks ago.
Mubarak, who ruled Egypt for more than three decades, was convicted June 2 of complicity in the killings of protesters during the 2011 uprising that forced him from power.
Mubarak's wife and two daughters-in-law were allowed to visit him on June 10 after erroneous local media reports said he had died.
Authorities on June 11 said he was in stable but critical condition.
