PESHAWAR, Pakistan -- At least four people have been reported killed in two attacks on mosques in Pakistan, one near the northern city of Peshawar, the other in the southern port city of Karachi.

Both attacks happened late on September 19.

The attack in the village of Achini, near Peshawar, targeted a group of Islamic clerics who have been going from village to village preaching.

The group was staying at a Sunni mosque when militants on a motorcycle threw hand grenades at them, killing three of the clerics and wounding at least 15 others.

In Karachi, one person was killed and at least nine wounded in an attack on a Shi'ite mosque in the Landhi neighborhood.

None of the suspects in either attack has been apprehended and so far no group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
