Police in Pakistan say four officers have been killed in an assault by suicide attackers on a police station in the northwestern city of Peshawar.
At least five more officers were reported injured in the morning attack.
Police said three attackers opened fire with automatic weapons and threw grenades before detonating their suicide vests.
The attack followed a car bomb on February 23 that killed 15 people at an outdoor minibus terminal in Peshawar.
In a call to RFE/RL's Radio Mashaal, an unnamed spokesman for the Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility.
The purported spokesman said that their Abdullah Ezzam brigade orchestrated the February 24 attack.
Peshawar is close to the border with Pakistan's tribal region, the main sanctuary for Al-Qaeda and Taliban fighters, and has been a frequent target of the militants.
