Thousands Rally In Serbian Environmental Protest

Thousands of Serbs protested in the capital, Belgrade, on September 11 against planned lithium mining. Some 30 environmental groups are organizing a campaign to call for tougher pollution controls as the London-based company Rio Tinto eyes large lithium deposits near the city of Loznica in western Serbia.
