Protesters Demanding Reforms Clash With Police In Novi Sad
Hundreds of police used tear gas and stun grenades to disperse protesters around the University of Novi Sad campus on September 5. The protest was part of a 10-month movement to demand reforms in the wake of a fatal railway station roof collapse in 2024. Students accuse the government of corruption and are demanding early elections, hoping to oust President Aleksandar Vucic and his Serbian Progressive Party party.
