Six Civilians Reported Killed By Blast In South Afghanistan


A minivan has reportedly struck a roadside bomb in southern Afghanistan, triggering a blast that killed six civilian passengers.

The provincial governor's office in southern Helmand Province said the dead included women and children.

Three passengers were also wounded in the January 15 explosion.

In eastern Wardak Province, NATO said international and Afghan troops killed two insurgents and captured two suspected militants in a raid on a compound on Januatry 15.
