Officials say two bombs killed at least eight people who had gathered to watch an illegal dog fight in the southern Afghan province of Kandahar.
Kandahar provincial government spokesman Zalmai Ayubi said the blasts took place in Arghandab, a district outside Kandahar city.
The Kandahar area has seen increasing violence as NATO and Afghan forces try to push the Taliban out of the region.
