Car Bomb In Damascus Suburb Kills Seven

A car bomb killed at least seven people and injured 62 when it exploded on July 25 in a suburb of the Syrian capital Damascus.

State news agency SANA said the bomb hit a square in Jaramanah.

The agency blamed the attack on "terrorists," a term the Syrian government uses for rebels who are fighting a 28-month-old civil war against President Bashar al-Assad's government.

Jaramanah is a mainly Christian and Druze suburb of Damascus, and it has been hit by several car bombings during the Syrian conflict.

It is currently under army control.

The United Nations says more than 90,000 people have been killed in the war since March 2011.
