Middle Eastern nations, the EU, Russia, and China have reacted, mostly negatively, to Donald Trump's suggestion that the United States would be "taking over" the Gaza Strip. Standing next to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at a White House press conference on February 4, the U.S. president proposed that the Palestinian population be moved from Gaza to clear the way for U.S. "ownership."
