This is presumably an example of how problematic the issue of decommunization is in places like Dnipropetrovsk. RFE/RL's Yulia Ratsybarska has more on that topic here. (It seems the city is now named after St. Peter not the Bolshevik revolutionary Grigory Petrovsky... As Volodomyr Noskov reported earlier this year, similar proposals have been mooted in Kharkiv)
