Here's some more info on the fatal helicopter incident from our news desk:
Ukraine's acting President Oleksandr Turchynov says 14 soldiers, including an army general, were killed when pro-Russian separatists shot down a military helicopter near Slovyansk.

The helicopter's downing came amid reports of intensive gunfire outside the city on May 29.

Slovyansk has seen fierce fighting in recent weeks as government forces continue their offensive against separatists in the east of the country.

On May 29, the separatists in Slovyansk said they were holding four observers from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) who went missing earlier this week.

The self-declared separatist "mayor" of the city, Vyacheslav Ponomaryov, said the observers were "fine" and promised they would be freed soon.

Petro Poroshenko, the winner of Ukraine's presidential election, has vowed to continue the "antiterrorist operation" and bring the crisis in the east to a quick end.
