Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vitaly Churkin doubts the possibility of UN peacekeepers' deployment in Ukraine.
"This question should be raised to see everyone's reaction and to set a political goal. Probably, consent of Kyiv, the Ukrainian government will be necessary. As a rule, such consent is asked for. It is debatable whether they will agree to the presence of the peacekeeping contingent if Kyiv intends to carry on the army operation in the east and they wish to solve this problem by force," Churkin said in an interview with Channel One.
"Hopefully, this attitude will now change," he added.
