At least five people were killed in a Russian strike on a residential building in the southern Ukrainian city of Mikolayiv early on November 11. Another Russian attack hit a residential building in Kryviy Rih, injuring at least seven people, including two children.
The village of Afanasiyivka was turned into an island by floodwaters after the breach of the Kakhovka dam. One local, Yuriy Danylovych, waded chest-deep in water through his family home and had a bitter, sarcastic message for the Russian president.
