Russia Arrests Bosnian Serb War Crimes Suspect

31 August 2005 -- Russian police say they have arrested a Bosnian Serb indicted by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.

Police say they arrested Dragan Zelenovic on 25 August in the western Siberian province of Khanty-Mansiysk. They say he had been living there for several years.

Regional deputy Prosecutor Vladimir Tylkov said prosecutors have prepared documents needed for Zelenovic's extradition. He says the documents will be sent to Moscow's chief prosecutor today.

Zelenovic is accused of war crimes allegedly committed during Bosnia's 1992-1995 war.
