Russian Cargo Ship Docks At International Space Station


The International Space Station (file photo) (NASA) January 20, 2007 -- An unmanned Russian cargo spacecraft has docked at the International Space Station after a journey from Earth.


The Progress M-59 ship is carrying supplies for the two U.S. astronauts and one Russian cosmonaut currently on board the station, including fresh fruit and drinking water.


The cargo also includes fuel and equipment for the station.


The Progress ship was launched January 18 from the Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan.
