Russian Army Colonel Yury Budanov Buried Outside Moscow

Former Russian Army Colonel Yury Budanov, who was shot dead three days ago, was buried outside the Russian capital on June 13. There was a strong police presence at the funeral. Budanov was released early from jail in January 2009. He was serving a 10-year jail sentence for murdering a Chechen teenager a decade ago.
