Indonesian President Apologizes For Severe Smog

Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has apologized for the smog blanketing Singapore and Malaysia as a result of massive land-clearing fires in Indonesia. Malaysia declared a state of emergency because of the dangerous smog on June 23, while Singapore declared its air quality "hazardous" the previous week. (Reuters)
