A top judge from Moscow's city court has been shot dead at his apartment building in Moscow.
Russian media reports cite police officials as saying Eduard Chuvashov was shot dead by unknown assailants who fled the scene.
He had presided over several cases involving nationalist organizations.
In February, he sentenced members of a skinhead group called the White Wolves to up to 23 years in jail for murders motivated by ethnic hatred.
