Relatives of prominent Soviet-era Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov have been evicted from the writer's summer-house near Moscow.
The Moscow Bailiffs' Directorate announced on October 1 that a court decision to evict Aitmatov's relatives from the summer house in Moscow's Peredelkino settlement has been fully implemented.
The eviction process started in August.
Aitmatov's relatives have fought in court for about a year to preserve the ownership of the two-level wooden building, which Aitmatov began using in 1988.
Moscow authorities insist that the building is owned by an international foundation.
Aitmatov, who wrote in Russian and Kyrgyz, was revered in the Soviet Union as an author who could skillfully describe people's psychological and emotional ordeals.
He died in 2008 at the age of 79.
