A controversial memorial service marking the “Day of Russian Volunteers” was held on April 12 in the small town of Visegrad in eastern Bosnia, honoring Russians who died fighting on the side of Bosnian Serbs in the 1992-1995 Bosnian War. The State Prosecutor’s Office opened an investigation into the event commemorating Russian volunteers in 2021, but the case did not move forward.
