The global death toll from the coronavirus is more than 422,000 with more than 7.5 million infections confirmed, causing mass disruptions as governments continue to try to slow the spread of the respiratory illness.

Armenia
Armenia's government has extended the current state of emergency by another month given the "tense" situation that remains surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.
At an extraordinary session on June 12, the government decided to extend the state of emergency, introduced in mid-March, until July 13.
"The epidemiological situation remains tense.... If there are no objections, the state of emergency in the country will be extended for a month -- until July 13," Prime Minister Nikol Pashinian told parliament.
As of June 12, Armenia's health authorities said that the general number of coronavirus cases in the South Caucasus nation was 15,281, including 258 deaths.
Ukraine
Olena Zelenska, the wife of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, says she has tested positive for the coronavirus.
Zelenska wrote on Facebook on June 12 that the test result took her by surprise.
"Today, I received back a positive result from the coronavirus test. Unexpected news, especially considering that my family and I continue to comply with all the regulations -- masks, gloves, minimal contact," Zelenska wrote, adding that her husband and children tested negative for the virus.
Ukraine's Health Ministry said on June 12 that the total number of coronavirus cases in the country is 29,753, including 870 deaths.
