NDTV television in India reported on July 9 that about 20 Indian nationals who are fighting with Russia's armed forces in Ukraine will return home soon. NDTV quoted sources as saying the issue was discussed at talks between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin during the ongoing visit by the Indian leader to Moscow. In March, seven Indian citizens issued a video, saying they came to Russia as tourists in December but were tricked by a Russian guide into traveling to Belarus, where they were arrested for not having visas and deported to Russia, where they were forced to fight in Ukraine.
