Iraqi officials say a series of bombings in and around Baghdad on December 8 killed at least 33 people.
Dozens also reportedly have been injured.
Most of the dozen or so attacks targeted Shi'ite neighborhoods.
At least half of the explosions were car bombs.
The deadliest bombings were in the Bayaa and Amil neighborhoods, where the apparent sectarian attacks killed five people in each district.
The bombings came a day after attacks killed 16 people -- including nine who were shot dead at alcohol shops in Baghdad.
Violence in Iraq has reached a level this year not seen since 2008, when the country was emerging from bloody sectarian strife.
The United Nations says more than 8,000 have been killed this year.
