More International Firms Relocate From Russia To Kazakhstan Over War In Ukraine

Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan Smaiylov says 19 international companies have relocated from Russia to Kazakhstan since Moscow launched its unprovoked invasion of Ukraine in late February. Smaiylov said on December 12 that other international companies were currently in talks with Astana regarding possible relocation from Russia to the oil-rich Central Asian country. Smaiylov said earlier that about 300 foreign companies had expressed a willingness to relocate from Russia to Kazakhstan. Several international companies, including Honeywell, InDriver, Fortescue, and Marubeni have already said they have moved to Kazakhstan.
